DROPKICKromance, coming in 2018!!
posted 7/17/17

On Saturday, Cyrus reavealed the big announcement he's been teasing for the past few weeks: DROPKICKromance is slated to be released on March 6th, 2018, by Andrews McMeel Publishing! Andews McMeel is the leading publisher in the poetry scene today, with names like Amanda Lovelace, Rupi Kaur, Lang Leav, and Michael Faudet in their catalog. And if the release date looks familiar to you, it should-—DROPKICKromance will be released in stores the very same day as the witch doesn't burn in this one by Amanda Lovelace! To add to an already huge announcement, it was also revealed that Amanda actually wrote the foreword for DROPKICKromance. Excited? We are too!

While you're waiting for March 3rd, be sure to add DROPKICKromance and the witch doesn't burn in this one to your tbr list on goodreads.

Cyrus ParkerCyrus Parker is a pro wrestler turned poet, hailing from a small town in New Jersey, along with his poetess fiancée, Amanda Lovelace. Originally from Michigan, where he spent half a decade working in the local independent wrestling scene, Cyrus is now trading literal dropkicks for literary dropkicks as he puts wrestling on the backburner to pursue his other passion, writing.

A creative writing major at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ, the self-proclaimed DROPKICKpoet has set out on an endless search to find his voice, and himself, through the written word. When he’s not illegibly scrawling away in his journal or typing away on his next project, Cyrus can be found either napping excessively after consuming massive amounts of caffeine, or wandering around aimlessly, trying to be the very best Pokémon Master that ever lived.

The forthcoming DROPKICKromance is Cyrus’ debut poetry collection.

release date: 3/6/17
publisher: Andrews McMeel Publishing

From pro wrestler turned poet Cyrus Parker comes an unapologetic collection of poetry dealing with love, heartbreak, and finding hope when hope is lost. In DROPKICKromance, Cyrus touches on both the high points and low points of love, and how so often, the right choice isn't always the easy choice to make.
